Niagara Historical Society Museum

Niagara Historical Society Museum in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, is lovely and I learn something new every time I visit.

This video, hosted by Major-General Sir Isaac Brock, explains the significance of the town and of preserving its history, and takes you inside the museum.

I’m impressed by the museum’s thoughtfulness in the presentation of its Indigenous collection.

A very well organized space with plenty of accessible interpretation, the museum is a joy to go through. Not to mention it’s one of the most important museums in Ontario for learning about the War of 1812. I look forward to my next visit.

Niagara Historical Society Museum is museum no. 53 in my #100museums challenge (see 100 Museums Challenge).
