Another good thing about 2020 is that I (finally?!) discovered podcasts.
I’m feeling a bit late to the party on this, but wow, there is a whole world of free, fascinating, useful, and entertaining audio programs out there. Working from home, I’ve found that sometimes it’s a productive use of time to listen to the news or other educational programing in the background, especially with So Much Going On these days.
Today I learned that Google has a podcasts app to which you can add subscriptions to your favourites. All those that I’d been listening to on my Android phone are there, so this will (probably?) be quite a convenient way to access them from my desktop.

Here are a few podcasts that have been recommended to me and that I’ve been enjoying, all of which are available via Google Podcasts.

- Toronto Star: This Matters
- TVO: The Agenda with Steve Paikin
- The Champlain Society: Witness to Yesterday / Témoins d’hier
